Common Workflows​

Onboard a New Moderator​

1. invite-moderators (role=MODERATOR, description="Name - role")
2. Share generated invite URL

Set Up Multi-Platform Stream​

1. manage-streams action=start (get primary RTMP URL)
2. manage-simulcast action=add platform=youtube (get YT stream key)
3. Add to OBS/Wirecast: Primary URL
4. OBS outputs to primary, auto-forwards to YouTube

Common Issues​

Ban/Unban​

Q: How do I unban someone?

  • Use manage-moderators with action=revoke (old role) then action=promote to new role
  • Or wait for ban duration to expire automatically

Recording Not Available​

Q: Where's my recording?

  • Auto-saved after stream ends
  • Check manage-recordings action=list
  • Available for 30 days (configurable)
  • Download before expiration

Simulcast Connection Failed​

Q: Why isn't YouTube getting the stream?

  1. Verify stream key is correct
  2. Test: manage-simulcast action=test platform=youtube
  3. Check OBS/Wirecast output bitrate matches platform limits
  4. Verify network connectivity on both sides

Community Health Low​

Q: Engagement is dropping, what happened?

  1. Check sentiment: monitor-community metric=sentiment
  2. Review moderation: too many bans?
  3. Check posts: monitor-community metric=engagement
  4. Survey community or post announcement

Performance Tips​

For Moderators:

  • Review comments in batches (action=list, then bulk delete)
  • Use flags for team discussion before permanent delete
  • Track ban history to refine criteria

For Streamers:

  • Test simulcast connection before going live
  • Record backups locally while streaming
  • Monitor multi-platform chat simultaneously
  • Adjust bitrate if platforms are out of sync

For Managers:

  • Regular check-ins with moderators (manage-moderators)
  • Monthly community health report (monitor-community timeframe=30d)
  • Archive important recordings before expiration
  • Review sentiment trends for engagement drops
